Swidg at UHasselt Meets Spin-offs

UHasselt invests and focuses in commercial activities, promoting knowledge transfer to industry and society. Every year, since 2019, the university celebrates its spin-offs with UHasselt Meets Spin-offs.

Swidg had the honour to be amongst the ten spin-offs awarded in 2021. We had the pleasure to listen to the amazing and inspiring story of Cubigo. We talked about the importance of leveraging academic research, the challenges of starting a business and grow with it, and the eagerness to solve a problem that may not even look like one. We learned about the other projects and presented ours.

To introduce Swidg, Guy engaged the audience in a quick survey. Who came by car to the event? Who would share a ride a colleague? Who has actually shared a ride to work with a colleague in the last month, or even in the last year? Swidg is there to bridge the gap between intention and actual behaviour and help commuters switch habits, share a ride to work, connect with colleagues.

A warm thank you to the University of Hasselt for having organised this nice event and having given us the opportunity to participate. This first award will have a special place on the fireplace mantel and in our memories.
